As part of a long term stratagy to secure audiology services in the current enviroment of 18 week targets and diagnostic milestones, the Provider arm of the PCT has collaborated with the Commissioners to make a band 5 audiolgist post available.The service is based in Exeter and conducts direct referral audiological assessments on adults and children of all ages whilst supporting and referring on to ENT and other acute services.We take the service to 12 different localities in the county so there is considerable scope for independent working supported by a team of 30 other staff.
